Why do people struggle to balance career ambition, a family life and their own mental and physical health?
These challenges manifest themselves into excuses for not reaching our goals, you might recognise a few of them!
Self-conscious about going to the gym (people staring, not feeling like you belong or look like you know what you are doing).
Worried about making a start because you are going to fail anyways.
Being judged by friends and family because they think you will be happier not striving for goals that will make you uncomfortable.
Unable to commit to, or think that, the results you want can only be obtained by spending hours in the gym and on the treadmill each week.
Hate the thought of eating meals out of Tupperware and missing all the social occasions for the next 3 months.
Feel like hiring a fitness professional to guide you is too expensive.
Misinformation and false beliefs are holding you back from being the man you want to be, let alone getting started!
Fitness influencers are selling programmes that they would never follow themselves… yet attribute their chiselled physique to their plan.
The industry oversells the importance of sports supplements… yet endorses athletes who take steroids.
Someone in your network tries to sell you a juicing or meal replacement diet… yet has no formal education in the health profession.
You see adverts or podcasts  endorsing fasting… yet pay little acknowledgement to nutrition density or consumed calories.
The fresh-faced PT at the gym tells you it’s easy go get into his shape… yet doesn’t deal within a high-pressured environment or huge time constraints on their personal time, while being nearly half your age.
The fitness industry only tells half the story
amongst all the noise how do you choose who to believe?
Dear reader,
As you navigate through the challenges of balancing a demanding career with personal health, it’s essential to understand that your situation is not unique.
In fact, you’re part of a much larger narrative that’s unfolding across the western world.
Spend the next five minutes on this page and you’re guaranteed to walk away with knowledge and motivation that offers a tenfold return on your time investment.
Are you ready to unlock valuable insights and strategies that will revolutionise not just your fitness, but your entire approach to life?
Is it really possible for men to
Build muscle while losing fat
With less than 2 hours in the gym per week
And almost zero cardio
Without restriction on what they can eat?
The answer is yes! Several studies cite that less time in the gym can lead to more effective, and better results, compared to longer workout sessions.
What I’m about to share with you is mostly insider information.
Only the top natural athletes who possess what seems like super human strength and cover model physiques know this.
Traditionally ‘bodybuilding’ style programmes only scratch the surface of what is possible for the drug-free lifter, because…
Each muscle in your body is made up of 3 different muscle fibres… strength fibres… hypertrophy fibres… and endurance fibres…
And bodybuilding workouts only effectively target hypertrophy fibres, however…
There’s only one way to effectively target all three muscle fibre types in the same training block, which you are about to discover…
If you are only training a third of your muscle fibres
Should you be unhappy with only a third of the potential results?
By training these different disciplines of strength simultaneously, you will increase your inter and intra-muscular coordination.
Inter-muscular coordination involves the harmonious effort of multiple muscles around multiple joints to create smooth and efficient movement.
This is important for creating a solid foundation from which to apply force and prevent energy leaks.
Intra-muscular coordination is the muscle’s ability to turn on muscle fibres to generate more force.
Let me explain the science…
When the brain sends a signal to a muscle, it travels down the motor neuron to the neuromuscular junction where the chemical process for muscular contraction happens.
The signalling is binary, meaning the muscle bundle attached to the motorneuron is either on or off.

There are several muscle bundles and their respective motorneurons that make up a muscle, and the force that the muscle is able to generate is dependent on the proportion of bundles activated and the frequency of the firing signal.
An untrained individual typically can recruit a lower percentage of their muscle fibres during an exercise compared to a trained individual.
Training leads to neurological adaptations that enhance the the ability to activate more muscle fibres, including those with higher thresholds for activation.
This means trained athletes can generate more force and perform better in strength and power activities due to their ability to recruit a higher number and variety of muscle fibres more efficiently.
But guess who is able to activate the most amount of muscle from the ‘trained’ population… the one who trains like an athlete rather than a bodybuilder!
Training like an athlete prioritises functional movement and strength
And they spend less than half the time in the gym for superior results!
Let’s be real, you and I aren’t professional athletes, and more than likely we both have regular jobs.
But an athlete’s job is not to live in the weights room either… that’s the job of a bodybuilder!
Athletes simply pay their dues in the gym to perform better on the field, in the ring or wherever their discipline may take them…
Time in the gym must not detract from the bigger picture..
And just like it shouldn’t impede their ability to perform in competition… it shouldn’t become a blocker to progressing your career or having fulfilling personal relationships… it should enhance it!
The focus should be getting stronger, building discipline and mental resilience…
The outcome is not only a more respected and desirable physique… but a mindset of delayed gratification, adaptability and earned confidence…
These are the traits of a high value man…
And the best part is, if you have the right systems in place and have acquired the right skills to execute them, it shouldn’t require much more than a couple of hours a week in the gym!
It all comes down to maximising your training economy!
Why are a small percentage of the population able to maintain a killer physique despite spending barely any time in the gym?
Training economy is essentially implementing one of the most universally accepted principles in life, and in business, to your training.
It’s the principle of Pareto efficiencies, meaning in most cases 80% of the results come from 20% of the effort.
The inverse therefore suggests that the majority of gym goers are spending 80% of their time doing exercises for only 20% of the results.
The same applies to the length of time of a typical gym session.
I’ve seen people train in the gym for up to 2.5 hours a day…
Utter madness…
The truth is, there are so many variables to training, and the law of diminishing returns also applies to building muscle, strength and burning fat.
It’s simply too much information to consume in one go, so I’ll spare you the detail for now and give you a rough outline.
Less effort in… more results out… sound good so far?
Let’s debunk a few more fitness and fat loss myths
We need to address the elephant in the room
You can’t outwork a bad diet… no matter how hard you train!
Let’s talk about nutrition…
Have you ever heard the line “correlation is not causation”?
There is nothing the fitness industry loves more than over-simplifying something as complicated as health.
Let me tell you the story of how a once brilliant strength coach turned into a snake oil salesman.
This coach, who shall remain anonymous was once coaching some USA olympic athletes using a similar training philosophy to what we mentioned earlier.
Needless to say, he and his athletes got fantastic results.
Well respected by his peers and almost reaching worship level status as a coach, he turned his attention to the private market, and it is here that he developed a signature hormone guided coaching and supplementation service.
The premise was that people couldn’t change their body composition because they need to address their hormone imbalance first…
In actual fact your body composition affects your hormonal balance more than your hormones affect your weight issue!
His clients were forced to cough up thousands of pounds (£) for supplements…
THEN HAD TO DO ALL OF THE HARD WORK OF EXERCISE AND DIETING ANYWAYS! 🤔
They got the results… but not for the reason they attributed it to.
It’s probably some of the best marketing I’ve witnessed… and eventually his business went on to accrediting other personal trainers so that they could upsell their client’s into an expensive supplement plan! 💰
What is clear, is that there is an innate internal bias in humans to feel like we are somehow disadvantaged (in their case hormonal imbalances)… and that acquisition of these supplements somehow levels the playing field.
It’s like dismissing what works for 99% of the population, because they want to feel special and part of the 1%.
You’re not special 😂 Sorry to break it to you, but the laws of science and energy balance do not care about your feelings 😉
But I care, and that’s why you’re here…
To make your health and fitness journey as plain, simple and enjoyable as possible, so that you can focus your energy on improving other areas of your life (career, relationships and other pursuits) and become the high value man that you were meant to be.
So what do you need to know about nutrition?
Can you really keep eating the foods you love?
The #1 most important factor for fat loss is creating an energy deficit
But 90% of people are doing it wrong!
To get what you want you must deserve what you want…
The world is not yet a crazy enough place to reward undeserving people
The problem that many people face, is that they are patiently impatient (PI).
What do I mean by this?
They act like they have all the time in the world when it comes to doing the work, but are impatient in achieving their goals.
They treat time (your most precious commodity) as if there is an infinite amount of it. The type of person who wants to kickstart their plan in the new year and have a junk lifestyle until then.
Patiently impatient people never get things done, because the reward doesn’t come fast enough and they are too focused on the destination.
They get stuck in the valley of disappointment.
Seneca figured this out over 2,000 years ago  – “You act mortal in all that you fear, and immortal in all that you desire!”
Impatiently Patient (IP) people get things done!
They are impatient with doing the work, and patient for the results to come.
IP people understand the power of tiny consistent gains.
Just like trying to make a return on the stock market… time in the market beats trying to time the market.
Motivation will get you started, but consistency will get you there!
